Outdoor Terrarium on the Balcony 

In addition to my indoor terrariums I built an outdoor terrarium in a flower tub on my balcony. The flower tub is rather huge, with dimensions of about 10 x 2 feet. It provides an airy and sunny home for my 4 Balkan Green Lizards (Lacerta trilineata trilineata) during the summertime.

The tub is about 2 feet deep and completely filled with soil. There are quite a lot of plants, even little bushes. I put a wire netting (0,5" mesh width) around so that the lizards cannot escape. Some pieces of woods plus  some flat stones are good locations for sunbathing.  I put enough mulch under the stones to provide isolated hides during cold days.
